Community Park playground will be closed TODAY until 5pm as we freshen up the wood carpet surfacing with a new load. Please be sure to stay out of the playground while the work is being completed. The spray pole will remain open, but please make sure children do not go into the playground until after 5pm. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Stover Street is closed from Bristol Road to Jamison Street for power lines that were knocked down. PECO estimates a crew will arrive by 3pm. Stover Mill residents should use the York Road access for their neighborhood.

The fire department is responding for a car on fire at York Road and Kendarbren Drive. Expect delays while they clean up the scene.

Join the Hartsville Fire Company Annual Firefighter Camp — a FREE hands-on program for anyone 14 years or older interested in the fire service or a career in emergency services.

📅 When: June 3, 10, 17, & 24, 2026
⏰ Time: 7:00 PM – 8:45 PM

Participants will learn:
🔥 Fire hose operations
🪜 Ladder truck operations
🫁 Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
🔍 Search & rescue skills
🚒 Teamwork and emergency response skills

The final night includes a simulated emergency response with attendees riding on the fire truck!

Hosted by Hartsville Fire Company with support from Warminster, Warwick, Warrington, Southampton, and Ivyland Fire Companies.
