Well, Haggerty responded to my request to vote NO on the SAVE Act. GRRR What a jerk.
"I am pleased to join my Republican colleagues as a cosponsor of the SAVE Act, commonsense legislation to ensure that only Americans participate in our elections by requiring proof of citizenship. It maintains the states’ constitutional authority to administer elections, while simultaneously protecting our citizens’ right to vote from being diluted by ineligible voters, a serious concern in light of the Biden Administration’s egregious facilitation of millions of illegal immigrants crossing our borders. ...

Throughout his campaign, President Trump ran on the commitment to restore the integrity of American elections. He recently signed Executive Order 14248, entitled “Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections,” which requires proof of citizenship on voter registration forms, and also prioritizes prosecution of election crimes and elimination of foreign interference in elections.
