⚠️ Water PSA for Jamestown Customers ⚠️

The City of Greensboro will be flushing a large water main tomorrow, May 19th, beginning around 6:00 a.m. and continuing through approximately noon.

During this time, some Jamestown water customers near the Greensboro service boundary may temporarily experience reduced water pressure or discoloration in their water.

Affected areas may include:

• Fox Hollow / Adams Farm
• Publix, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Panda Express, and ABC Store area
• Ragsdale High School
• Millis Road Elementary School
• Haynes-Inman Education Center
• Jamestown Middle School
• Oakdale Forest
• Clifton Park

Any discoloration is typically temporary. If you notice discolored water, we recommend allowing cold water to run for several minutes until it clears.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important maintenance work is completed

Millions of birds are currently migrating across our region under the cover of darkness, navigating by the night sky. Bright outdoor lighting can disorient them, causing exhaustion, confusion, and deadly window collisions along the way.

Is it possible we could we all make a small change that has a big impact?

During migration season, consider:
• Turning off unnecessary outdoor lighting
• Reducing decorative or flood lighting
• Closing blinds and curtains at night
• Using motion sensors or downward-facing lights where possible

Sometimes the smallest acts of stewardship help protect the most remarkable journeys.

Providing safe passage for night-migrating birds.
