🚒 It was a busy week for the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department! 🚒
The Jamestown Community Fair kept our members busy, and we were glad to be there to help out and be part of another great weekend in our community.
The weekend got started with a vehicle and large tire fire that brought in quite a few departments. Jamestown had three firefighters respond, arriving shortly after Greenville. Assisting departments included 96, 75, 17, 94, 73, and 19 from Ohio, along with EmergyCare Ambulance. We appreciate everyone who came together and helped out on the call.
Friday evening, while our crew was at the truck and tractor pulls, Engine 89-2 was dispatched to a car fire along with the ambulance from Station 45. Even when we're at the fair, we're still ready to leave whenever the tones drop.
Saturday morning started early for some of our members as we got the trucks cleaned up and ready for the parade.
Parade lineup was as follows:
🇺🇸 Ryan C. carried Old Glory in his dress blues, remembering and honoring those who lost their lives on 9/11.

🍬 Candy:Tom P., Ryleigh M., and Leann C.
🚒 89-2: Garrett F. and Blayne M.
🍬 Candy: Tara F. and Trenton M.
🚑 Rescue 89: Kenny S. and Jonathan M.
🍬 Candy & glow sticks: Bobby B., Ethan L., Evan G., and Floyd H.
We also want to thank Karen F., who organized the parade, and Firefighter Tim F. for helping get everything together. A lot of work goes into putting a parade like this together, and we appreciate everything they did to make it happen.
A big thank-you to all of the departments that helped us throughout the weekend, the ambulance crews, fair volunteers, parade organizers, and everyone who came out and supported the fair.
And of course, thank you to our members who gave up their time to help make the weekend happen. Whether it was answering calls, standing by at the fair, cleaning trucks, riding in the parade, or handing out candy and glow sticks, it all helps make our department and community what it is.
It's weekends like this that remind us why we do what we do. We get to serve our community, work alongside some great people, and spend time with the families and kids who come out to support us.
We had a busy one, but we had a good time doing it. ❤️
