Celebrate pretzels, b**r, and lederhosen during the Oktoberfest celebration with The Arts Center in Jamestown on September 19! Now, we know what you're thinking. Why is it Oktoberfest in September? Because it's a German tradition that starts in September to take advantage of the weather and longer daylight as they do in Munich!

Tickets are $50 and are available now. Enjoy b**rs and ciders on tape, German-style bratwurst, fries, and soft pretzels, live music, and German-style games and festivities! Will we see you b**r... or here?

You've only got a few more days of root b**r floats, Warmies, and hand-scooped ice cream from the Frontier Village General Store this summer!

The last day for the Frontier Village to be open is Sunday, September 13. Although all the buildings will be closed, you're still welcome to swing in and take a look at the Village on your way to the World's Largest Buffalo or the North American Bison Discovery Center!

Spend the morning in the field, then come back to town for a hot meal, a cold drink and a comfortable place to stay before doing it all again tomorrow.

With plenty of hunting country surrounding Jamestown, your next North Dakota hunting trip could be right on target. Before heading out, be sure to check current North Dakota Game & Fish regulations, licensing requirements and public access information.

There’s still time for one more trip to Fort Seward.

The 2026 season at Fort Seward wraps up on Labor Day, September 7. If you haven’t explored this piece of Jamestown history yet this summer, now is the time.

While you’re there, you can also help preserve the fort for future visitors. Fort Seward is raising funds to repair its boardwalks, which help keep the historic site accessible. The project has raised $4,000 toward its $27,000 goal.

Visit the fort before September 7, learn a little more about Jamestown’s past, and consider supporting a piece of its future.

Have you stepped foot inside the Stutsman County Memorial Museum this summer?

There are four floors to explore with something unique at every turn. Historic artifacts fill the former Lutz Mansion, built in 1907 by George Lutz, a prominent Jamestown business man. It has now been transformed into a magnificent museum with historic artifacts, photos, and memories of days gone by.

Free admission with suggested donation, this glorious monument to the past is open through Labor Day weekend, so don't miss it!
