🌳 Chautauqua County has completed a tree planting and replacement project at the Government Offices and Courthouse in Mayville. Eight aging trees were removed and replaced with safer, more sustainable species — chosen to protect walkways, buildings, and the beauty of the grounds for years to come.

Special care was taken to honor two commemorative plaques dedicated to World War Veterans and George Washington — preserving their legacy even as new trees grow in their place.
