Today’s the day! RITBA is proud to join AAA Northeast and the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association to collect supplies for the Amenity Aid Hygiene Drive, September 14–18. A few extra items in your shopping cart can make a meaningful difference for a Rhode Islander in need.

RITBA is proud to join AAA Northeast and the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association to support Amenity Aid, Rhode Island’s only hygiene bank, which provides essential hygiene products to Rhode Islanders in need through partnerships with social service agencies across the state.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: This evening, August 18, 2026, work will begin in the eastbound lanes of the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge for scheduled replacement of the bridge joints. As with the work on the westbound side, travel plates will cover the work area during the day, creating bumps. We ask drivers to follow the posted signs and drive slowly through the work area.

Work in the westbound lanes is complete.
