Matthew Leveridge, Commonwealth’s Attorney Matthew is the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 57th Judicial Circuit, Russell and Wayne Counties.

He has been the chief felony prosecutor in the 57th since 2007.

On April 29, 2025, the Rusell County Grand Jury returned 18 Indictments against 16 separate individuals for crimes committed in Russell County. There were 55 total charges against these individuals.

On April 22, 2025, the Wayne County Grand Jury returned 7 Indictments against 7 separate individuals for crimes committed in Wayne County. There were 51 total charges against these individuals.

03/26/2025

On March 25, 2025, the Rusell County Grand Jury returned 27 Indictments against 34 separate individuals for crimes committed in Russell County. There were 130 total charges against these individuals.

On March 18, 2025, the Wayne County Grand Jury returned 13 Indictments against 14 separate individuals for crimes committed in Wayne County. There were 45 total charges against these individuals.

On February 25, 2025 the Rusell County Grand Jury returned 11 Indictments against 11 separate individuals for crimes committed in Russell County. There were 29 total charges against these individuals.
