On Patriot Day, Jamestown Public Schools joins communities across the nation in remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

As we commemorate the 25 years since that horrific day, we honor the first responders, service members and everyday citizens whose courage, compassion and selflessness emerged in the face of tragedy.

To honor this day, Jamestown High School students involved in Club America created a display of 2,977 American flags in the JHS library.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to reflect on the lasting impact of that day and the importance of coming together in service to one another. We remember.

🏈 REMINDER: JHS Football is back at Strider Field on Friday night as the Red & Green host Health Sciences at 7 p.m.. Admission is free for all regular-season home games. Before heading to the game, please remember:

✅ All spectators must enter through the gates on the scoreboard side of the field near the concession stand and walk through the district’s weapons detection system.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Students in eighth grade and below must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the game. Each adult may accompany no more than four children.
🍿 Children in eighth grade and below must also be accompanied by an adult when visiting the concession stand or restrooms.

⚽️ It was a picture-perfect night at Strider Field as JHS Girls Soccer took on Southwestern. Despite a 4-1 setback, the team battled hard under the lights.

Jamestown returns to action Saturday with a road matchup against Dunkirk. Keep working, Red & Green! ❤️💚

🏐 JHS Girls Volleyball battled hard Thursday night at McElrath Gymnasium, ultimately falling to Fredonia in four sets. ❤️💚

Aiyanna Stam led Jamestown (2-1) with 17 kills, nine blocks and four digs, while Maylin Cuifolo recorded 48 assists. Remy Anderson added seven kills and four blocks; Chloe Roberts collected 17 digs; Alondra Casler contributed seven kills and three blocks; and Addison Brown finished with 11 digs and four blocks.

❤️💚 The girls host Dunkirk on Tuesday night (Sept. 15) with the JV game beginning at 5 p.m.

Trey Drake (Jamestown/Jamestown) turned in a nice performance in North Dakota State’s 38-0 victory over Fordham before 15,212 fans at the Fargodome last Saturday. Upon relieving starting quarterback Nathan Hayes, Drake completed 3 of 4 passes for 35 yards. His longest connection was for 19 yards. ...
