🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Will Never Forget

This photograph captures members of the Jamesburg Police Department on their way to Ground Zero in the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks, answering the call to help in one of our nation’s darkest hours.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the innocent lives lost, the heroic first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless police officers, firefighters, EMTs, military personnel, and volunteers who responded in the days and months that followed.

We are especially proud to recognize the members of our own department who traveled to New York City to assist at Ground Zero. This photograph is a powerful reminder that behind the badge are men and women willing to step forward when others need them most.

Today, we honor those who never came home, those who answered the call, and those who continue to live with the effects of that day.

May we never forget September 11, 2001.
May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, and their service.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from the Jamesburg Police Department! 🇺🇸

Today, we recognize and celebrate the hardworking men and women whose dedication, commitment, and contributions help keep our community moving forward each and every day.

While many are enjoying a well-deserved day off with family and friends, we also want to recognize our officers who are working today and throughout the holiday weekend. While our community celebrates, they remain on patrol—away from their own families—ready to respond, protect, and serve whenever they are needed. We are incredibly proud of their dedication to keeping Jamesburg and Helmetta safe.

Whether you’re enjoying a barbecue, spending time with family and friends, or simply relaxing, we hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day.

Please celebrate responsibly, drive safely, and look out for one another.

From all of us at the Jamesburg Police Department, Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Fatal Fire Under Investigation

Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera and Chief Jason Muller of the Jamesburg Police Department announced today that a residential fire is under investigation in Jamesburg.

On August 9, 2026, at approximately 1:02 A.M., authorities responded to a residence on Front Street in Jamesburg following a report of a structure fire. Upon their arrival, first responders found one resident a 39-year-old woman, who was transported to Old Bridge Medical Center for treatment. Sandra Dutcher, 67, of Jamesburg, was located inside the residence with serious injuries and was pronounced deceased enroute to the hospital. Authorities located a third resident inside of the residence who was unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene. Two firefighters were transported to the hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

While the investigation is ongoing, a preliminary investigation indicates that the fire is not suspicious in nature and foul play is not suspected.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is active and continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jorge Camargo of the Jamesburg Police Department at (732) 521-0011 or Detective Stephanie Redline of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3316.
