Pathways to Progress may be over, but the momentum continues.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, gave, partnered, shared, celebrated, and showed up for Apprentice Learning and our young people. Because of you, we’ve raised more than $21,000— This is more than we've raised in previous years. Our community has definitely shown up and showed out! 72% of our $30,000 goal.

And we’re not done yet.

We’re keeping the campaign open through October 31 so our broader community has one more opportunity to help us close the gap.

If you weren’t able to attend, you can still be part of what comes next. Your gift helps Apprentice Learning continue creating meaningful career exploration experiences, building relationships, and expanding possibilities for Boston’s middle-grade youth.

Make a one-time gift or become a recurring donor today.

Help us get to $30K by October 31.

"This work is personal because I know what happens when brilliance goes unrecognized, when potential never meets opportunity, when young people are asked what they want to become before anybody has shown them or shared with them or give them access to all the things that are possible. At Apprentice Learning, we are not just introducing people to careers. We're introducing them to people, to relationships, to experiences that say I see you, you belong here. There is room for you."

A beautiful message from Apprentice Learning's Executive Director, Letta Neely, on why this work is so important in the lives of our youth.

Tomorrow night, on October 15th, we’ll gather at Pathways to Progress to celebrate the young people at the center of this work—and the community that helps make these experiences possible.

We hope you’ll join us.

And if you can’t be in the room with us, you can still be part of what we’re building. A donation to Apprentice Learning helps us continue creating the experiences, connections, and opportunities that widen the world for Boston’s middle-grade youth.

Come celebrate with us—or invest from wherever you are.

School is back in session, and a new cohort of Apprentices has begun their journey with Apprentice Learning.

As young people settle in, we’re creating space for them to ask questions, reflect, learn about themselves, and get to know one another.

One recent moment began with a simple question:

“If you have to be somewhere on time, is that chaotic, a challenge, or calm for you?”

With the words posted along a wall as a continuum, students moved toward the one that most accurately described them.

“Why did you choose chaotic?” Destini asked.

“I am always late. There’s just so much going on. You will be waiting for me.”

“And is there someone from the calm group who would like to share?”

“Yes. I am always organized. I’m early, and it’s easy.”

As Ayla, one of our team members, reflected:

“When we know something about each other, we can use that knowledge to be helpful—a step toward communal wealth.”

These are the kinds of moments that shape the Apprentice Learning experience: young people learning about themselves, learning from one another, and beginning to recognize the knowledge, experiences, and strengths already present within their community.

On Thursday, October 15, we invite you to be part of expanding this work.

Join us at Pathways to Progress: Sharing Communal Wealth for Boston’s Middle Grade Youth for an evening celebrating our young people and the community helping expand what they can experience, imagine, and become.

🎟️ Purchase your tickets and join us at Hibernian Hall from 6–9 PM.

Flashing back this Friday to our pitch at the Social Innovation Forum this summer.

It was an honor to be in community with so many incredible nonprofits working to strengthen Boston and beyond. Letta Neely's (AL's Executive Director) pitch for Apprentice Learning reminded us of the power of great storytelling—and of what becomes possible when our work, our resources, and our visions for young people are shared.

Hearing each organization share its story made one thing clear: we are united by a deep, collective desire to improve conditions across Boston and the surrounding communities. Communal wealth wins again.

Join us as we continue building that wealth together at Pathways to Progress, Apprentice Learning’s annual fundraiser.

Get your tickets and come celebrate, connect, and invest in what’s possible for Boston’s middle-grade youth.
