The Jacksonville Police Department responds to a wide variety of calls for service each week. Below are a few highlights from the week of August 31 through September 7, 2026.

• 9/1/26 – At approximately 2:02 p.m., a JPD unit was dispatched to Jacksonville Fire Station 19 for a reported CPR-in-progress. Upon arrival, Jacksonville Fire personnel were actively providing lifesaving care to a male in the station driveway. JPD assisted fire personnel during the medical emergency. Fire crews were able to revive the male, who was later transported to a nearby hospital by Mercy Flights. Great work JFD! (First picture)

• 9/2/26 – At approximately 10:23 p.m., a JPD officer on routine patrol located a white van illegally parked along OR-238, just west of Oregon Street. The officer observed a male in the driver’s seat slumped over and unresponsive to commands, although he was breathing. JCSO and Phoenix Police responded to assist in safely removing the male from the vehicle. Following an investigation, the male was arrested and charged with DUII and PCS Fentanyl after a powdery substance in his possession field-tested positive for fentanyl. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail. (Second picture)

• 9/3/26 – At approximately 9:17 p.m., JPD officers responded to Britt Pavilion for a report of a highly intoxicated and disorderly concert patron. Officers contacted a female who was unable to safely care for herself due to her level of intoxication. She was given the option of being taken to jail or receiving a courtesy ride home. After initially resisting, she ultimately chose the courtesy ride, and officers transported her home and released her into the care of a sober occupant. No charges are expected at this time. • 9/3/26 – At approximately 11:38 p.m., JPD units assisted Talent Police, Phoenix Police, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office with an active domestic dispute southeast of Jacksonville. Dispatch reported that an intoxicated male had physically assaulted a family member before attempting to leave the property in a truck and trying to ram another vehicle. JPD officers assisted in safely restraining the highly combative subject, who was ultimately turned over to JCSO. This incident highlights the importance of mutual assistance and coordination between neighboring law enforcement agencies during dangerous and rapidly evolving situations. (Fourth picture)

The Jacksonville Police Department responds to a wide variety of calls for service each week. The following are highlights of some of the incidents and activities JPD officers handled during the week of August 24–30, 2026.

• 8/24/26 – At approximately 10:05p, JPD officers were requested by Britt Festival security to remove an intoxicated concertgoer who was acting aggressively and refusing to comply with staff directives. The male was escorted from the property by a JPD officer and subsequently trespassed by concert staff for the remainder of the show. No charges are expected at this time. (First picture)

• 8/26/26 – At approximately 4:35p, JPD was dispatched to a large structure fire on Arnold Lane, just east of Jacksonville. As the first law enforcement unit on scene, JPD officers checked the structure to ensure no one remained inside before assisting partner agencies with traffic control and scene security. JPD worked alongside Medford Fire, Medford Police, Jacksonville Fire, Jackson County Fire District 3, and Phoenix Police. (Second picture)

• 8/27/26 – At approximately 4:08p, a JPD officer was dispatched to the Jackson Creek Junction area for a reported disorderly male following a parking-related argument that escalated when one party allegedly challenged another to a fight. One of the involved males left the area and was located near the rear parking lot of the Jacksonville Tavern. During the investigation, the officer observed a large knife on the male’s hip. The knife was temporarily secured as a safety precaution and returned when the contact concluded. The incident is believed to have remained verbal, and no charges are expected at this time. • 8/29/26 – At approximately 9:22a, JPD was dispatched to Britt Pavilion for a report of vandalism and theft that occurred overnight. Britt staff reported multiple wooden tables had been broken, chairs had been thrown around, and a freezer was damaged during an apparent attempt to break into it. • 8/29/26 – At approximately 7:42p, JPD was dispatched to mile marker 1 on W. Griffin Creek Road for a reported serious motor vehicle crash with possible entrapment. JPD was the first law enforcement unit on scene and assisted with securing the crash scene. The incident was turned over to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office upon their arrival. STAR was activated, and the roadway remained closed for approximately four hours. (Fourth picture)

Case Update – Britt Festival Assault Investigation

An update from last week’s service call overview: JPD’s investigation into an assault stemming from a fight during a Britt Festival concert has been completed. Based on the investigation and statements from the victim, a female involved in the incident is facing multiple charges, including Assault in the Fourth Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, and Resisting Arrest. The case has been forwarded to the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for review and prosecution.

Weekly Service Call Overview
August 17, 2026 – August 23, 2026

The Jacksonville Police Department responds to a wide variety of calls for service each week. Below are a few highlights from this past week:

• On 8/17/26 at approximately 8:04 a.m., a JPD officer was first on scene at a two-vehicle crash near Sage Road and OR-238 involving a rollover. A juvenile male driver was able to self-extricate from the overturned truck and sustained only minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Medford Police, Medford Fire, and Mercy Flights also responded to assist. (First picture)

• On 8/20/26 at approximately 9:33 a.m., JPD was dispatched to the Britt Pavilion for a reported theft. The investigation revealed that an unknown male had broken the lock on a refrigerator containing approximately $500 worth of prepared food intended for an upcoming concert. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact ECSO non-emergency at 541-776-7206 and reference case JV26-162.

• On 8/20/26 at approximately 9:15 p.m., JPD officers working the Britt Festival concert detail were alerted to a physical fight involving approximately 8 to 12 individuals in the pavilion’s pit area. One adult female involved refused to leave after being trespassed by security. When officers attempted to take her into custody, she physically resisted the officer. During the initial active portion of the incident, a JPD officer was struck twice in the head and neck by unknown nearby concertgoers, but was not injured. Due to the complexity of the incident, the female was released awaiting further investigation and victim cooperation, with potential charges pending as well. (Second picture)

• 8/21/26 at approximately 11:00 a.m., JPD was again dispatched to Britt for a reported theft. Approximately $1,600 worth of tools had been stolen between midnight and 8:00 a.m. The theft occurred despite on-site security being present during that timeframe. • On 8/23/26 at approximately 10:02 p.m., JPD units assisted the Oregon State Police, Mercy Flights, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office with a serious motor vehicle crash involving a rollover on OR-238, approximately four miles west of Jacksonville. The highway was closed for about 90 minutes while emergency crews worked at the scene. The Applegate Valley Fire District also responded. (Third and fourth pictures)

OK Jacksonville, we need your help! 🐾

These two sweet dogs were located near S. Oregon Street and Applegate Street at approximately 1:50p today. We’re hoping someone recognizes them and can help us reunite them with their owners before they are brought to Animal Control.

The older, smaller dog is equipped with an AirTag that appears dead, but unfortunately, there is no other identifying information on either dog’s collar.

If you recognize these pups or know who their owners may be, please contact ECSO Non-Emergency at 541-776-7206 with any information.

Weekly Service Call Overview
August 10, 2026 – August 16, 2026

The Jacksonville Police Department responds to a wide variety of calls for service each week. Below are a few highlights from this past week:

• 8/12/26 – Stolen Vehicle Recovery: At approximately 10:19 p.m., a JPD officer on routine patrol near N. 5th and Shafer Lane observed a vehicle matching the description of a reported stolen vehicle out of Medford. The vehicle was confirmed stolen, and with assistance from Medford Police Department (MPD) and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop just east of Jacksonville. The driver was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the appropriate agency along with the vehicle for further investigation and recovery. (First picture)

• 8/13/26 – Warrant Arrest: At approximately 5:46 p.m., a JPD officer conducted a traffic stop in the Rays Food Place parking lot after determining the vehicle had no insurance. The male driver was found to have an active felony warrant from a neighboring agency. He was taken into custody and transported to the Jackson County Jail, where he was lodged on the warrant. • 8/14/26 – Felony Elude Suspect Apprehended: At approximately 1:30 p.m., JPD assisted MPD and JCSO with a vehicle felony elude suspect who had abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot in the Lozier Lane area. JPD officers assisted in establishing a perimeter while additional drone and K-9 resources were deployed. The suspect was eventually apprehended and found to have active warrants out of Deschutes County.

• 8/14/26 – Welfare Check / Assistance: At approximately 2:15 p.m., JPD responded to the area of N. Oregon and W. C Street following reports of a highly intoxicated couple, with the female reportedly suffering facial injuries. Officers located the couple in an alley and determined through investigation that no domestic violence crime had occurred and the injuries were the result of a fall. Both declined medical attention. Officers assisted the couple back to their previous lodging location following a concert in town. JPD would also like to thank the staff at the Jacksonville Inn for providing the couple with water, shade, and a safe place to stay while they made additional lodging arrangements. No charges are expected.

• 8/15/26 – Second Stolen Vehicle Recovery: At approximately 11:53 p.m., a JPD officer on routine patrol located a previously reported stolen vehicle out of Medford parked at Creekside Park. The vehicle was occupied by a female who was taken into custody without incident. JCSO assisted with clearing the vehicle before it was returned to its owner. The suspect was transported to downtown Medford and released into the custody of MPD, as the vehicle theft was part of their original case. (Third picture)

• 8/16/26 – Graffiti Vandalism Investigation: At approximately 8:45 a.m., JPD responded to the Rich Gulch/Britt Trail area for a report of graffiti vandalism. Officers located several blue tags that appeared to indicate a connection to a specific gang organization. Jacksonville Public Works removed the visible vandalism and secured a nearby bathroom that was heavily tagged until it can be properly cleaned. JPD takes any indication of gang-related activity seriously and is actively investigating this incident. Beginning 8/20/26, the Britt Festival will have a string of six consecutive concerts, many of which are sold out. Residents and visitors should expect increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic throughout this period.

JPD is working closely with our partner agencies to help ensure the safety of residents, visitors, concertgoers, and businesses during what is expected to be a very busy week in Jacksonville. Please plan accordingly, allow additional travel time, and use extra caution around increased pedestrian traffic.

Weekly Service Call Overview
August 3, 2026 – August 9, 2026

The Jacksonville Police Department (JPD) is providing this weekly service call overview as a brief look at a few of the many calls for service our officers respond to each week.

• On 8/4/26, at approximately 9:14 p.m. Jacksonville Police officers were dispatched to Britt Pavilion for a report of three concertgoers who were heavily intoxicated and refusing to leave after being trespassed by event security. Upon arrival, officers located one female subject and escorted her from the property. The other two members of the party had returned to the crowd prior to officers’ arrival, and security personnel were unable to locate them. (First picture)

• On 8/8/26 at approximately 5:51 p.m., JPD officers were dispatched to OR-238 near S. Oregon Street for a vehicle that had become disabled and was blocking the single eastbound lane. Officers and others attempted to jumpstart the vehicle without success. Due to the significant traffic congestion caused by Britt concert traffic, a hazard tow was requested. The vehicle was eventually pushed mostly out of the travel lane while awaiting the tow. JPD officers remained on scene and hand-directed traffic for approximately 90 minutes to help maintain traffic flow and keep motorists and pedestrians safe. (Second picture)

• On 8/8/26 at approximately 9:05 p.m., JPD officers responded to the Britt Pavilion for a heavily intoxicated male concertgoer who staff and security requested be removed from the amphitheater. Officers made contact with the individual and escorted him safely off the grounds. Officers also ensured he was able to get home safely by arranging a rideshare vehicle. No charges are expected. • On 8/9/26 at approximately 9:04 a.m., a JPD officer was dispatched to the 100 block of W. California Street for a report of damage to a historic barber pole. The business owner reported that the vandalism likely occurred overnight. When the owner arrived that morning, they discovered glass on the ground nearby and observed that the barber pole had been damaged. Preliminary estimates place the damage at more than $1,000. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact ECSO non-emergency dispatch at 541-776-7206 and reference case JV26-153.

As of 7:20P, there are no evacuations of any kind for the City of Jacksonville.

We are monitoring the incident closely with our partner agencies and will provide additional information if needed.

For the most current evacuation zones, follow Jackson County Sheriff Oregon as they are the lead law enforcement agency for the fire.

Despite temperatures climbing into the near triple digits, the heat didn’t stop the fun. Weekly Service Call Overview
July 27, 2026 – August 2, 2026

The Jacksonville Police Department responded to a wide variety of calls for service this past week. Below are just a few highlights that reflect the diverse nature of incidents our officers handle while serving our community.

• On 7/30/26 at approximately 10:13 p.m., JPD officers responded to the Britt Gardens area for a report of two highly intoxicated and disorderly concert attendees. Britt Festival staff had trespassed the individuals from the venue, but they refused to leave the property. Officers located an adult male and female who were loudly arguing. They were advised they had been trespassed from all remaining Britt Festival performances for the 2026 season and were escorted from the property without further incident.

• On 7/31/26 at approximately 2:13 p.m., JPD officers responded to a reported crash near Pair-A-Dice Ranch Road on Highway 238. The investigation determined a trailer being towed by a vehicle had become detached, leaving it partially down an embankment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Highway 238 was impacted for approximately three hours while recovery crews safely removed the trailer and cleared the roadway. (First picture)

• On 8/1/26 at approximately 2:07 p.m., a JPD officer conducted a traffic stop on a white delivery van that was operating without visible license plates. During the investigation, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle while suspended at the Criminal Misdemeanor level. The driver was taken into custody. Due to limited jail capacity, he was cited to appear in Jackson County Circuit Court and released. (Second picture)

• On 8/1/26 at approximately 3:19 p.m., a JPD officer responded to a reported serious vehicle crash on Old Stage Road at Westover Boulevard, just north of Jacksonville. The responding JPD officer was first on scene and immediately rendered aid to one of the victims until emergency medical personnel arrived. Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly afterward. Due to the severity of the crash, a Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team activation was initiated. The roadway remained closed for approximately four hours while investigators processed the scene. (Third picture)
