The incident on Park Street has been resolved peacefully.

We are still asking the public to stay away from the area so officers can finish with the investigation.

The Jacksonville Police Department and the Illinois State Police are currently involved in an active incident in the 700 block of Park Street. Due to this incident JMS has cancelled school.

This is an isolated incident, not a hostage situation, and we are asking the community to please avoid the area.

We were able to finally get all of the shifts. Thank you for all that you do!
