Jacksonville City Hall and most facilities will be closed Monday, January 17, 2022 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday. Read on below:

Jacksonville City Hall and most facilities will be closed Monday, January 17, 2022 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday. While most City facilities will be closed for business, Jacksonville transit will resume normal routes. Jacksonville Sanitation will not offer collection services Monday, but will pick up Monday's garbage and recycling Tuesday. No yard waste will be collected the week of January 17.

Jacksonville City Hall and most facilities will be closed Friday, December 31, 2021 in observance of the New Year's holiday. While most City facilities will be closed for business, Jacksonville Sanitation will run their normal Friday route. JacksonvilleNC.gov/Sanitation

Traffic Advisory for Western Boulevard: The area is currently experiencing heavier traffic than normal due to the holiday week. Increased traffic may continue through the end of the week. Please seek alternate routes if possible. If you need to utilize Western Boulevard this week, please allow additional time to reach your destination.

Check out the dazzling light display at Riverwalk Crossing Park and LP Willingham Park this week -- and get photos taken with Santa! Santa will be available 5-8PM this Tuesday, December 14 and Thursday, December 16 for photos (bring your own camera). The event is free and open to the public. Hot chocolate and candy canes will be available. For more information, contact Jacksonville Recreation & Parks at 910 938-5312.
