Calling all theatre kids 📣 CAP is offering two CAP Theatre Company Workshops this fall. Set the stage for an unforgettable semester and register your young artist today! 🎭

September 14 - December 13 | Mondays 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Broadway Workshop | Grades 3-8
Stage Makeup Workshop | Grades 5-9

This semester in the Broadway Workshop, young actors will dive into the dazzling world of Broadway musicals. Through theatre games and creative exercises, they will stretch their imaginations, bringing characters and stories to life through song, dance and acting. The young actors’ hard work will culminate in an end-of-class performance to demonstrate the skills they sharpened in this course! Register here: capkids.org/enroll/cap-theatre-co-fall26-broadway/

The fall Stage Makeup Workshop will introduce the art of character makeup. Students will explore how design choices in color, texture and form can transform a face into a character inspired by the changing seasons: crisp winter frost, golden autumn leaves or a grinning jack-o’-lantern. Every look is documented in a personal artist’s portfolio, building toward a final showcase where students will present their portfolio and execute one of their designs from the coursework to share with family and friends! Register here: capkids.org/enroll/cap-theatre-co-fall26-stage-makeup/

CAP has partnered with Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church for this program. Classes will be held at 4001 Hendricks Avenue, 32207.

CAP is looking forward to welcoming the Arts Education Partnership (AEP) Annual Convening to Jacksonville tomorrow!
The AEP has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Education since 1995.

We are excited to share that Marielly, a long-time CAP String Orchestra (CAPSO) member, and Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies student, will be delivering a welcoming speech to arts education commissioners from across the United States. We are looking forward to showcasing CAP's impact and celebrating Jacksonville on the national stage.
Can't wait to see you all there!

The annual Visual Arts Showcase is an extraordinary display of artwork by CAP students. By exploring various techniques and materials, students gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them, nurturing lifelong curiosity and resilience. Creating with your hands engages the senses, strengthens fine motor skills and provides a tangible connection to the creative process that digital tools can’t fully replicate. It encourages mindfulness and focus, helping the young artists slow down and appreciate the act of making. Working with physical materials fosters problem-solving, adaptability and resilience, skills that are valuable in both art and life.
