Coquina Gates This page is moderated by past residents of Coquina Gates in efforts to preserve the history of this abundant and beautiful property.

Coquina Gates was imagined and built by James Irvin Russell (1908-1991) in Jacksonville, Florida. Russell started building houses in the 1930's, and finished at a total of eight houses, and a swimming pool. Seven of the original houses remain and have residents to this day.
