Happy for the rain in the area, but we still are encouraged to conserve water. The drought conditions are likely to be around for some time.

🌧️ How much rain does Florida need right now?

The rainfall amounts shown on this map represent what would be needed over the next three months to improve extreme drought conditions across the state.

And even with that much rain… drought conditions are still expected to continue.

💦 Every drop counts — conserving water now can help protect Florida’s water resources during these extremely dry conditions.

⚠️ Advisory: Possible Blue-Green Algae – Doctors Lake Center

The Florida Department of Health in Clay County has identified a possible blue-green algae bloom at Doctors Lake Center (April 16). Testing is currently underway.
Since environmental conditions can change at any time, it is important to exercise caution, even if the presence of toxins has not yet been confirmed.

Please avoid:
🚫 Swimming, wading, or any water contact where bloom is visible
🚫 Drinking the water
🚫 Activities like water skiing in affected areas

Protect yourself & your pets:
✔️ Keep pets and livestock away from the water
✔️ Wash skin and clothing if contact occurs
✔️ Do not cook or clean with this water (boiling does NOT remove toxins)

We’ll share updates as results become available.
