🎉 Celebrating Becky! ❤️

Becky has been a dedicated LSS Food Pantry volunteer for many years, giving countless hours of her time to help serve our neighbors. And how did she spend part of her birthday? Volunteering right here at LSS! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for Becky and the kindness, dedication and joy she brings to our pantry. She is a wonderful example of the heart behind our volunteers and we are so lucky to have her as part of the LSS family.

🎹 They made the front page. Now they’re coming back to Jacksonville.

Mother-and-son pianists Michelle and Chris Kuo return on October 24 for Two Piano Journey—an unforgettable evening of music in support of Lutheran Social Services of Northeast Florida. ❤️

Their partnership with LSS began in 2022, and we’re grateful to welcome them back for another year of using music to make a difference in our community.

Remember Edisson, who literally gave a client the socks off his feet? 🧦❤️

Well, he’s at it again.

Edisson recently took a client to her new job, where the employer needed her to start right away. She was wearing a T-shirt, but would be working in a cold environment and needed something warmer.

Luckily, Edisson was prepared. He had recently bought a jacket and kept it in his car just in case one of his clients ever needed it. He grabbed the jacket, gave it to her, and she was able to start her first day of work. ❤️

No fanfare. No expectation of recognition. He simply saw a need and was ready to help.

It’s moments like these that remind us what going above and beyond really looks like.

Thank you, Edisson, for the care and compassion you show the people we serve. We’re lucky to have you on the LSS team. ❤️

🚌 Sulzbacher’s Housing & Hope on Wheels is at LSS TODAY!

If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness, living in a vehicle, couch surfing, or without stable housing, this resource is for you.

We’re grateful to Sulzbacher for bringing their Housing & Hope on Wheels mobile unit to LSS today. Their team will be onsite to connect individuals with housing resources, support services, and other available assistance.
