I was honored to have the opportunity to speak at the opening session to the IGOLD rally this week. Happy to have so many great people come to Springfield to protect their rights and yours!!

It was great to be there with so many fellow gun owners and Second Amendment advocates. Thank you to the Illinois State Rifle Association and all the advocates for STANDING WITH US in defense of our constitutional rights!

Today we held a press conference on the lack of legitimate public safety policy in the State of Illinois, following the most recent murder of an 18 year old college student by an illegal imigrant who had ICE detainers as well as a warrant for their arrest after they were let go from a prior arrest.
We have to get back to protecting our citizens and the rule of law!

Had fun with the Morgan County Republicans in the St. Paddy’s Day Parade. It was nice getting to drive the truck for them, but maybe a little stressful with so many little kids crowding into the streets.

I enjoyed being at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton yesterday to discuss their needs, as well as the needs of the surrounding rural communities. All good things must start with a plan and they have that plan ready to go! It was good to see all of the smiling faces and all of the services they provide.

The Governor keeps eroding the authority of local elected officials to represent their friends and neighbors. This takes away our ability to shape our communities and limits the local vision for our futures. Also, by not fully funding the Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF), he is forcing local property taxes higher to take the place of funds owed by the State.

Last week was a great week to be with friends visiting Springfield and in the district. Local Farm Bureaus, Hospitals, Tourism, Pike CEO, and a lunch visit at Gilson Brown Elementary in Godfrey.

Always good to be with friends at the MidWest Truckers Annual Meeting to discuss what’s going on in Springfield. Early Saturday morning trip to the Peoria Civic Center, followed by a busy Saturday.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to spend some time with kids at Meredosia-Chambersburg School to discuss my job. It was an awesome Q&A session with great participation!!

It was great to be with friends in Jersey and Greene Counties for their Lincoln Day Dinners on Saturday night. I appreciate both Chairmen for working with my schedule to allow me to attend and speak to everyone who came out. Always a good time!

I recently did an interview with Scot Bertram on the report released by the State this week on the lack of reliable energy production in Illinois. We haven’t had a real energy policy since the 1990’s. In the last decade, we’ve only had political policies that have exacerbated our problems and increased prices to consumers and taxpayers.
