🇺🇸 Join us as we honor the legacy of the Montford Point Marines.

On Friday, August 28, at 8:00 AM, the National Montford Point Marine Association will host the 17th Annual Montford Point Marine Day Ceremony indoors to Building M104 on Camp Johnson across from the Montford Point Marine Museum. The ceremony will recognize the courage and sacrifice of the first African Americans to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, with Congressional Gold Medal replicas presented posthumously to the families of several Montford Point Marines.

This meaningful event is open to the public and offers an opportunity to reflect on an important chapter of our nation's history—one that began right here in Jacksonville.
