A huge THANK YOU to the Arlington Council of the JAX Chamber for treating the staff at Parkwood Heights Elementary to a delicious surprise: donuts from one of Arlington’s famous Donut shoppe!
They were absolutely delicious and definitely made our day a little sweeter!

🐾❤️ First Friday at the Panther Den!
Today was our very first Friday at the Panther Den, and it was a huge success!
30 lucky students who earned Red Tickets for making great choices had the opportunity to visit the Panther Den and spin the wheel to win a special treat or toy!
A HUGE thank you to all of the amazing parents, families, and friends of Parkwood Heights who donated and helped make the opening of the Panther Den possible. Your generosity helps us celebrate our Panthers and encourages them to keep making positive choices every day!
We can't wait for our next Panther Den Friday! 🐾

We are bursting with Parkwood Panther pride as we celebrate the incredible success of one of our former students, Reece Weaver!

Reece recently retired from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and she has now announced her exciting next chapter: she has been selected to play Roxie Hart on Broadway in CHICAGO, the longest-running American musical in Broadway history!

Reece, we are beyond excited to celebrate this amazing accomplishment with you! From your Parkwood days to the Dallas Cowboys sidelines and now to the Broadway stage, what an incredible journey. We’ll be cheering you on all the way from Jacksonville! ❤️

We love showcasing the accomplishments of our former students and reminding our current Panthers that their dreams can take them anywhere.

Good Morning Team Duval! Happy First Day of School! So excited to welcome back thousands of children back into classrooms for an amazing 2026-27 school year!

But before they get to their classrooms, they are walking, biking, and riding the school bus. As Dr. Bernier shared with the community this morning, please be vigilant; look out for children as they’re making their way to school.

A huge thank you to the Edward Waters University Softball Team for continuing the special tradition of joining us on the first day of school to welcome our Parkwood Panthers!
Our students were greeted with high fives, big smiles, and lots of encouragement as the softball players helped walk them to class. What an amazing way to start the new school year!
A special thank you to Coach Ellison for keeping this wonderful tradition going year after year. We are so grateful for your continued support of our students and our Parkwood community!
