Taking care of a 105-year-old pool takes support, care, and teamwork—and we couldn't ask for a better pair to do it! Join us in wishing Ann and Kip a happy "Pool-iversary" as they come upon their first year here at the pool! 🏊‍♂️🎉

They have accomplished so much for the Good Shepherd's pool, from its infrastructure, sustainability, and most importantly, its members. They are a true dream team, and we cannot wait for many years ahead with them at the helm.

What an INCREDIBLE feat 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃 Kip Strasma, our Pool Super Volunteer (and spouse of our Pool Director, Ann) absolutely *crushed* Jacksonville’s IRONMAN yesterday—cruising through 140 miles of our city (including the run through our neighborhood) in **under 12 hours** 👀

We are so proud of him, so honored that he uses our pool to train, and so grateful for everything he and Ann do for Good Shepherd.

Hello, lap swimmers, and happy 2026! 🌊

As we start the new year, we wanted to make sure you were aware that we have expanded our hours! By popular request, the pool is open for member lap swimming:

Monday - Saturday: 5:00am–9:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am–9:00pm

Of course, you can always find our hours, rates, and lots of other information on our website (link in the comments). And if you’d like to become a pool member, please contact the pool office!

We think 2026 is going to be our most active year yet, and we can’t thank you enough for helping to make Good Shepherd’s pool such an incredible community. See you in the lanes! 🏊

Hello Good Shepherd! We are excited to share two wonderful opportunities for giving to the church.

From now until the end of the year, our partners at the Jessie Ball duPont Fund will match any gifts made online up to $500 at 50%.

This means, for example, if you donate $100 to Good Shepherd online, your contribution becomes $150.

In addition, an anonymous donor is matching all gifts dedicated to the pool from now until the end of the year, up to a total of $10,000. If you give online, the duPont match will also apply, meaning that a gift of $100 automatically becomes $250.

Hello Good Shepherd Pool! We have exciting news about a wonderful opportunity for Giving Tuesday and beyond.

From now until the end of the year, a very generous anonymous donor is matching all donations to the pool 100%, up to a total of $10,000.

There are several ways you can take advantage of this matching opportunity. You can of course bring a check to the pool office, but a gift made online at www.goodshepherdjax.org/poolgiving may be a better route to go.

This is because all online donations up to $500 will receive an additional 50% match from our partners at the Jessie Ball duPont Fund.

This means, for example, if you were to donate $100 to the pool online, your contribution would automatically become $250.

This is an incredible chance to give back to this cherished resource in our Riverside community, and to help preserve it for future generations. Thank you so much for your generosity!
