Congratulations to JEA’s Water Boys and Meter Services team for representing JEA at American Water Works Association ACE26!

After qualifying for nationals, the Water Boys competed against 21 of the top tapping teams from across North America and advanced to the championship finals, ultimately finishing 5th overall. This marks the first time in nearly 10 years that a JEA team has reached the national finals.

JEA was also represented in the AWWA Meter Challenge. The competition tests participants' speed, precision and technical expertise as they assemble a water meter from a bucket of parts.

We're proud of all our employees for showcasing their skill, professionalism, and dedication while representing JEA and the Florida Section on the national stage. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement!

More than 500 properties in Jacksonville’s Christobel neighborhood are one step closer to reliable water and sewer service.

JEA, Christobel residents, along with city, state, and federal partners gathered Friday to officially kick off the Christobel Septic Tank Phase Out Project — a $36 million investment that will replace aging septic systems with modern infrastructure designed to protect public health, improve water quality, and strengthen the neighborhood for generations to come.

Supported by nearly $7 million in EPA funding, the project is expected to be completed in 2028.

It's infrastructure that may be unseen, but it is creating stability for generations to come.
