Bravo Zulu to the Sailors attached to the command from 01 October, 2018 - 31 January, 2021.

VP-45 was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation by the United States Navy for outstanding performance in support of Task Force 72. This recognition reflects the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of every Sailor who contributed to the mission during this deployment. From long hours in the air to critical support on the ground, this award represents a true team effort and a commitment to excellence in everything we do.

Exercise Sea Dragon 2026 concluded on March 26, marking the end of a successful and intensive training exercise. The collaboration between the elite sub-hunting crews of Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, and the U.S. has once again proven our collective strength and commitment. VP-3 of the JMSDF emerged victoriously, securing the Dragon Belt for 2026. The Dragon Belt was previously held by the RAAF since their victory in 2025.
