Good morning, Broncos! 🐴💙💛

To support our science standards and play-based learning in the early grades, we are asking our Bronco community for donations of gently used items such as Monster Trucks, Hot Wheels cars, K’NEX, LEGOs, Play-Doh, play kitchens, and other playhouse or sensory play items.

These items will be used to create hands-on science labs and engaging play-based learning experiences for our students. Donations can be dropped off at the front office.

Thank you for helping us Build POWER and create meaningful learning experiences for our Broncos! 💙💛

Deputy Smith - Blue Creek Elementary School 🐎

Born and raised in Richlands, Deputy Smith graduated from Richlands High School in 2005 and went to Coastal Carolina Community College, where he received his Associate's Degree.

He is happily married and has four amazing boys!

Deputy Smith has worked for the Onslow County Sheriff's Office for 16 years. He has served as a detention officer, patrol deputy, bailiff, civil process, and civil ex*****on.

Deputy Smith enjoys all kinds of food and sports, LOVES the Tarheels and HEAVILY DISLIKES Duke (don't we all 😁)

Help us CHALK the WALK and welcome our Broncos back to school on Sunday August 23rd between 3-5pm! 💙🐴

Families and community members are invited to come decorate the sidewalks around Blue Creek with colorful drawings, encouraging messages, school spirit, or personal shoutouts for our students and staff!

Want to write “You’ve got this!”? 💕
Draw a giant rainbow? 🌈
Leave a “Welcome back, Broncos!” message? 🐴
Add in some fun with a game of hopscotch? ♦️
Create something totally your own? 🎨

The only rule? Keep it school appropriate! Other than that, your creativity is completely up to you!

Let’s fill our school walkways with COLOR, ENCOURAGEMENT, and SCHOOL SPIRIT so our Broncos have a fun surprise waiting for them on the first day of school! 🥳💙

As we get closer to the start of the school year, please take a moment to review the following important enrollment reminders:

If you have moved: If your family is no longer residing within the Blue Creek Elementary attendance area, please make sure you have completed registration with your new school and contacted them regarding your child’s enrollment. This will help ensure a smooth transition and allow your child to be assigned to a teacher before the first day of school.

If you have a new kindergartener: If you have a child who will be starting kindergarten this year, please make sure they are fully registered at Blue Creek. Completing registration now will help ensure your child is assigned to a teacher and ready for the first day of school.

Health Assessments: All new kindergarten students and students coming from out of state are required to have a health assessment on file. If your child has already completed their health assessment, you are welcome to drop a copy off at the school. If you have not yet completed the assessment, this is a friendly reminder to schedule an appointment with your child’s doctor.
