4-H District Activity Day is coming up! 🎤🍀✨

Presentations are an important part of North Carolina 4-H and one of the best ways youth build confidence, communication, and leadership skills. Through presentations, youth research a topic connected to their projects or interests and teach others what they have learned.

Rather than simply giving a speech, 4-H members practice organizing ideas, explaining concepts clearly, and answering questions from an audience. These skills help youth grow as public speakers while also strengthening problem solving, preparation, and self-confidence.

Reach out to Tara or John to sign up by May 21st!

Most would agree that yesterday was a great day to stay snuggled up on the couch watching movies or reading a book.

However, Tim and Lexi spent the day at the Jacksonville Tractor Supply Co. and the community support was overwhelming. They want to extend a giant thank you to the store for supporting 4-H but also to those out shopping that stopped to speak, wish them good luck or to contribute to their journey to Nebraska in June for the National 4-H Shooting Sports tournament ♥️

We are proud of the work that both young people have poured into their 4-H projects and also the support of their families and coaches. It takes a village to get big things done and we want to give you all a shout out too!

Lexi and Tim will be not only representing Onslow County 4-H, the will be representing NC 4-H as members of the National Air Rifle team. They advanced to the team after rigorous try outs and attend scheduled trainings all over the state to prepare. We are beyond proud and can’t wait to cheer you both on in June.

If you would like to support Tim and Lexi we can help make the connection or accept donations at the office. Contact John or Tara at 910-455-5873, email us at [email protected] or [email protected], or message this page.
