The Policy Center is honored to receive a $125,000, two-year grant from Women’s Giving Alliance to develop and launch See the Girl: Preventing Online Exploitation and Violence Against Girls and Young Women — an innovative, 10-week curriculum designed to help prevent online exploitation and violence affecting girls.
This initiative will center girls’ experiences, voices, and safety while equipping communities with tools to better recognize, address, and prevent digital harms. The project will unfold across four intentional phases:
• Research & Problem Analysis
• Curriculum Development
• Curriculum Implementation & Testing
• Evaluation, Refinement & Knowledge Sharing
At every stage, See the Girl will be grounded in girl-centered principles, Relational–Cultural Theory, and trauma-informed, non-victim-blaming practices, ensuring approaches that prioritize connection, healing, and prevention.
This investment represents an important step toward creating evidence-informed strategies that protect girls and young women from online exploitation while building safer, more supportive environments for them to thrive.
We are grateful to Women's Giving Alliance for their partnership and commitment to advancing the wellbeing and safety of girls in our community.
