This week, we proudly recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week—a time to honor the voices behind the radio who keep our schools and officers safe every single day.

Our telecommunicators are the calm in the chaos. They are the first to answer the call, the steady voice in moments of uncertainty, and the critical link between those in need and the help that’s on the way. Their professionalism, quick thinking, and dedication make a difference in every situation—often without ever being seen.

From dispatching officers to supporting emergency response, their work is essential to our mission and the safety of our community.

💙 Thank you to our incredible Telecommunications team for your commitment, your strength, and the care you show in every call. We appreciate you today and every day.

Big things happening at DCSP 👏

Four of our School Guardians and one of our Dispatchers just leveled up—graduating from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy and officially becoming police officers!

This marks our second crossover class, and it’s a powerful example of the opportunities within our agency to grow, lead, and serve in new ways.

Same dedication. Same heart. Bigger impact.

Join us in congratulating Officer Allen, Officer Battle, Officer Battle (yes, they’re twins), Officer Mathis, and Officer Toney as they continue protecting our schools and community. 💙

🐾💙 Furbruary Was a Success! 💙🐾

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Duval County community, our Furbruary Pet Drive was a huge success! 🐶🐱

Because of YOU, we were able to collect and donate a large amount of much-needed supplies to our local animal shelters. These donations will go directly toward caring for animals in need and helping them feel a little more loved while they wait for their forever homes.

We’re proud to support the amazing organizations we’ve partnered with—be sure to check them out and show them some love! ⬇️ (tagged below)

A special thank you to our officers, staff, schools, and community members who took the time to give back. Your kindness truly makes a difference.

Together, we’re not just protecting our schools—we’re supporting our entire community… paws and all. 🐾💙
