The purpose of our page is to present helpful information and matters of interest to Federated members and the communities we serve. We encourage you to submit your questions and concerns. We have a few guidelines to this communications tool to keep it in the cooperative spirit. Any member service question that requires immediate attention, such as power outages, should not be posted on Facebook s

ince we cannot guarantee a prompt response. Federated's Facebook is not monitored 24/7 so a response may not be immediate. We are almost always available 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays CST. During major outages involving more than 500 members and lasting more than one hour, we will post outage restoration updates. Please report power outages to: 847-3520 or 1-800-321-3520. Any specific questions about your Federated account or your electric bill should be handled by phone or in person. Federated reserves the right to remove any post deemed inappropriate, rude or offensive. Please do not post excessive links, inappropriate photos, videos or material that infringes on copyright or trademarks. We will delete comments that contain vulgar language or personal attacks of any kind. We reserve the right to remove any unsolicited advertising, campaigning and comments that may include links to other sites; are clearly off topic; advocate illegal activity; promote particular services, products or political organizations. Please do not post any personal information. You risk your own security and privacy when you do this. Federated cannot guarantee private information shared via Facebook will be protected. Electric member-owners: make sure you plan to attend Federated Rural Electric's 91st Annual Meeting Thursday, September 10, at the Jackson National Guard Armory.

Register from 4:30-6:15 p.m. Receive your food truck meal ticket for Squealers Smoke Shack or Gerhardts Catering. Choose from brisket or pork sandwich with a side of mac n cheese from Squealers. Otherwise, choose a hamburger, cheeseburger or pork loin sandwich with French fries from Gerhardts. Enjoy a cookie and bottled water too. Plus, bring along your mailed ballots if you didn't mail itl or you can vote onsite for the bylaw amendment, candidates and approval of meeting minutes.

After eating visit the booths for Federated, Broadband, CTV antenna installer and Heartland Security. Play Bingo for prizes from 5 p.m. til 6:15 p.m. or until the prizes are gone! Kids up to age 10 can register for the children's prize drawing too!

The three $100 electric bill credit prize winners from mailed ballots will be announced around 6:15 p.m. Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Besides the official business, a question and answer forum will occur, instead of speeches.

At the end of the annual meeting, 27 prizes, along with local business gift certificates, will be awarded; must be present to win these.

Andrew Lawrence achieved his Journeyman status June 1.

He completed the Career Development for Linemen. This program involves on-the-job training and testing, ranging from safety to meters, along with transformers, power lines and substations. It involved 7,500 hours of training.

Lawrence started at Federated April 29, 2024; he works out of the Welcome warehouse. Congratulations!
