Our firefighter who was injured during the Memorial Day structure fire in Teton Pines has been released from the hospital!

Charlie Crotteau was working to access fire burning in the roof when he fell approximately 20 feet from the platform of a ladder truck. A Rapid Intervention Crew (RIC), along with other firefighters who saw the fall, immediately reached Charlie and began providing aid. He was transported by ambulance to St. John's Health and underwent surgery for fractures in his leg.

Charlie has been a volunteer firefighter at Station 1 in downtown Jackson since 2023.

This morning, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and Lower Valley Energy responded to a report of a natural gas leak in the area of Hwy89 and High School Road. The hazard was isolated and Teton County Emergency Management sent out a message to avoid the area. Teton County School District was able to update parents of a Shelter in Place action for schools in the area. The hazard was mitigated quickly by Lower Valley Energy. Jackson Hole Fire/EMS greatly appreciates the coordinated response to keep our community safe!
