In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by President Donald Trump, the Mississippi National Guard is reviewing its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. Congratulations Major General Bobby M. Ginn Jr. on your selection as the incoming Adjutant General of Mississippi.

Maj. Gen. Janson Durr Boyles, thank you for your exemplary service to the Soldiers, Airmen, Civilian employees, and Families of the Mississippi National Guard. Wishing you and your family Godspeed in your future endeavors.

I have appointed Major General Bobby M. Ginn, Jr. as the Adjutant General of Mississippi.

Major General Ginn has showcased a lifelong commitment to service, and I am incredibly thankful for his willingness to step into this new role.

I am also incredibly thankful for the tireless service of Major General Janson D. Boyles. Our National Guard is better, stronger, and more prepared thanks to his leadership!

❄️WINTER WEATHER: There’s a wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain and even snow possible starting Sunday night into Tuesday (1/14-1/16).

🚗 Dangerous travel conditions are expected.
🛑 Do not travel unless necessary.
🌲 Downed trees and power lines are possible.

Get ready to laugh! The Gary Sinise Foundation presents the "Almost" Red, White, and Blue Comedy Tour in Dolton Hall at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center , December 14, 2022. The show line-up will include U.S. Army Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Adam Keys, U.S. Army (Ret.) Dewayne White, and Josh Blue from Last Comic Standing and America’s Got Talent. This event is open to the public. Admission will be charged at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the show begins at 7:00 p.m.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: MDOT will close all lanes of I-20 WB/I-55 SB at State Street in Jackson on April 8 to perform an emergency repair on a roadway failure that has resulted in a severe dip in the interstate.

The closure begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 8 and is expected to last 72 HOURS.

The temporary closure will have a MAJOR impact on traffic. During the closure, I-20 WB/I-55 SB traffic will be directed to I-55 NB and I-220 SB to detour around the closure. Local traffic should consider an alternate route on local roads during the closure timeframe.
