***** PUBLIC NOTICE*****

Starting Monday, June 15th, through Friday, June 19th, the intersections of Main Street and Church Street, along with the intersection of Broadway Street and Walnut Street, will be closed.

Contractors will be installing the new crosswalks as part of the Downtown Revitalization Project. Please watch for detour and road closure signs.

There will be a Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting at 6:15PM on Monday, June 22nd in Council Chambers.

The purpose of the meeting is to:

1) Consider a request for a Conditional Use for a Drive-Thru at Keeny's Kitchen at 328 Main St. Parcel # H140100006400.

2) Consider a request for a Variance for a 3' setback along the property line at 59 N Chestnut St. Parcel # H140130005100.

3) Consider a request for a Variance for a 14' front setback at 235 Harding Ave. Parcel # H140080007700.

The Regular Council Meeting will follow at 7:00PM. This meeting will be broadcasted on Spectrum Channel 1024 and the City of Jackson's Youtube Channel.

The public is welcome to attend both meetings.

The Jackson County Health Department plans to conduct mosquito fogging in the City of Jackson this Saturday night, May 30th, around sunset. The fogging will be focused around Eddie Jones Park, the High Street Ball Fields, and Manpower Park. The pesticide fog produced by the JCHD’s sprayer is not harmful to humans or household pets, it just kills insects.

Mosquito fogging around the City of Jackson's parks has been cancelled for tonight (May 27th) due to rain in the forecast. Fogging will be rescheduled once there's a drier weather forecast.
