Seen these cars around our primary service area? Here is what they are and what they are for. Both of these vehicles are special purpose vehicles used for Jackson Ambulance Service and city operations. The SUV on the left is used for command responses and transporting personnel and equipment to trainings, events, and calls. The SUV on the right is also used for command responses, but it also serves as a mobile incident command post for the city, and is equipped to provide in-field ALS upgrades to BLS ambulances. The vehicle on the right is also used to to transport staff and equipment to provide services for our cooperative agreements with the Minnesota-1 All Hazards Incident Management Team and the HEAT team. Both of these vehicles allow for an administrator to respond to calls to assist crews 24/7/365. We are continually faced with more critical, more complex calls that require additional resources in a timely manner. The ability to have a rapid response of additional personnel using these vehicles has improved the survivability of multiple patients within the past 12 months.

We are seeking donations to support employee centered events this year, including a meal for our staff and their families to attend. Please contact EMS Chief Grant Landbo with any questions.
