Heads up from WYDOT Teton County:

Heads up commuters from Star Valley: Beginning this Thursday, June 4, WYDOT and contract crews will be working on a bridge deck epoxy overlay on US 89 at mile marker 118 in Alpine.

The work will take place during daytime hours due to favorable temperatures needed for the epoxy overlay. The work will require lane closures in both the east and westbound lanes. The epoxy overlay work is scheduled for three days, weather permitting. During that time, the bridge will remain open to two-lane traffic, but drivers will see a 14-foot width restriction while work is underway.

It was a beautiful day for the groundbreaking of the Teton Pass Trail. Thank you for coming out to celebrate this milestone with us!

and Teton Village Fire Department responded to a structure fire early this Memorial Day to find heavy fire conditions at an office building in Teton Pines. During suppression efforts, one JHF/EMS firefighter was injured and taken to St. John’s Health where they are currently in stable condition.

Firefighters remain on scene conducting suppression and overhaul operations to fully contain the incident and ensure safety. The fire is currently contained to the office building, and no evacuation orders have been issued. Please avoid the area if possible.

Speed limited tonight is reduced to 10 mph for everyone’s safety: WYDOT Teton County

Contract crews are pouring concrete tonight on the bridge deck at the south end of town. Speed limit is reduced to 10mph. The police ticketed several vehicles a couple of weeks ago during the last pour. Please go slow.
