On April 8, 2026 at approximately 6:45 p.m. the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a brush fire on Erwin Hollow Road. We would like to thank Jackson Fire Department for their assistance. And remember to burn safely during dry season.

To those who have purchased NCAA bracket spots, here is the bracket that will be used for payouts.
Each national semifinal game will pay $800 on the halftime score and the final score. The national championship game will pay $800 for the halftime score and $1000 on the final score. Thank you to those who have supported our fire department by purchasing a spot (or two) on our bracket! Good luck to everyone!!

It’s about that time of year again for March Madness! The Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department will be selling squares for $100 each . The pay outs will be $800 for first half and final of the two final four games and then $800 at half of National Championship game and $1000 payout on the final score of that game! No bad numbers in basketball! Thanks for your support, this is a fundraiser for our fire department. Contact any firefighter you may know on the fire department to get your chance! Only 100 spots, Thanks again for your continued support!

The Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department is seeking prayers for one of our members who has been injured in the line of duty. On January 15, 2026, our department responded to a motor vehicle accident at U.S. 35 and Lloyd's Bridge Road. Unfortunately, while our team was attending to the scene, a vehicle traveling on U.S. 35 collided with one of our trucks parked on the roadside, striking Assistant Chief Larry Foster. We kindly request prayers for Larry's swift and full recovery. Moreover, we would like to remind all drivers to exercise caution when approaching emergency vehicles on highways and to slow down and move over. Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department
