The outdoor community often carries an unspoken pressure to look like a "traditional athlete," creating an exclusionary and often toxic standard for those who spend time outside. These pressures can lead to a complicated relationship with food, fueled by the misconception that eating less will make us faster, stronger, or more "fit."

We believe this topic isn't discussed nearly enough, despite affecting so many members in our community. To help change the narrative, the Teton County Health Department, Womemtum, and Women in the Tetons are hosting Taking Up Space, an intimate and honest community conversation at Black Diamond on Thursday, June 18.

This is a FREE event, but please register to let us know you're coming: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/taking-up-space-a-conversation-on-body-image-food-movement-tickets-1989833975987

Our speakers include athlete Madison Ostergren, licensed therapist and registered dietitian Mary Ryan, registered dietitian Eden Morris, Ride Force founder Taylor-Ann Smith, and Womentum program director Elisabeth Rohrbach.

The panel will share lived experiences, practical resources, and pathways of support for navigating body image and disordered eating.

All are welcome whether you are navigating your own experience or showing up for others. Professional clinicians will be present in the case you need someone
to talk to during or after the event.

Please join us as we dismantle these harmful stereotypes and return to the pure joy of moving outdoors—exactly as we are.

Doors open at 5:30 PM. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

Every 30 seconds, a life is lost to viral hepatitis. 💔

Despite being preventable and, in many cases, completely curable, viral hepatitis claims over 1.3 million lives globally each year. Because it frequently shows zero symptoms for years, millions of people are living with it right now without realizing their liver is at risk.

The good news? You have the power to protect yourself, and we are here to help.

📍 Your To-Do List:
✅ Get tested for Hep C
✅ Get vaccinated for Hep A + B

The Teton County Health Department offers low to no-cost testing and vaccinations. Take control of your health today—give us a call at (307) 733-6401 to schedule your appointment.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re coming together to show that no one in Jackson Hole has to walk their path alone. 🏔️💚 Twice a week, we’re sharing our series—window portraits of local neighbors paired with powerful reflections from community members and leaders. It’s a reminder that in this valley, our wellness and our support for one another are deeply intertwined. 🤝✨

This portrait features a familiar face from our community, paired with an insightful perspective from Daniela Peterson, MA, LPC, at Vista Counseling. 🌿
Daniela shares: “Your story is still being written, and healing can be part of the next chapter.” ✨

No matter what challenges you have faced or where you are in your journey, your narrative isn't finished. Embracing healing isn't about erasing the past—it’s about giving yourself the grace, permission, and support to write a brighter, healthier tomorrow right here in the Tetons. 💛

What is one small "daily habit" you practice to check in with yourself? Share your routine in the comments. 👇💬

Garages, campers, cabins, and barns are prime real estate for mice. The problem? They can spread hantavirus through their droppings, urine, and saliva. If you’re opening up and cleaning a space that’s been closed up for a while, knowing the risks—and how to clean safely—is a must. 🧼🐭
