Gateway Beautification Day 2025 🚮🌿

The City of Jackson is proud to launch a new annual tradition dedicated to cleaning and restoring the gateways that shape the first impressions of our capital city.

On Saturday, October 18, volunteers are invited to pick up litter, clear debris, and help bring new pride to key corridors including Fortification St., High St., Pascagoula St., Pearl St. West Capitol St., and Woodrow Wilson Ave.

When we come together, we show what’s possible for Jackson. Let’s keep our entryways clean, safe, and welcoming for all.

You can now place Whitegoods (Large household appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, etc.) AND up to 🖐 (5) tires at the curb for collection! 🛞

🗓 Pickup Day: Wednesdays (SCHEDULING IS REQUIRED!!)
📞 Schedule Your Pickup: Call 601-960-1193

✅ Guidelines:
Items out by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled Wednesday
Appliances must be empty
Tires must be rim-free
Limit: 1 pickup per household per month

The City of Jackson Department of Parks & Recreation invites you to join us for an Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday, September 27th at Smith-Wills Stadium parking lot!

🎥 Feature Film: Sinners (Rated R) – strictly 18+ only!
Movie starts at 8:00 p.m.

🚗 Cost: $5 cash per vehicle

📍 Location: Smith-Wills Stadium Parking Lot

🛋️ Watch from the comfort of your car or bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie under the stars.

🍔 Food vendors will be on-site serving your favorite treats.
