The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 76-year-old Peggy “Rea” Pohlman.

Rea was last seen at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, on Agate Lane in the Millersville area. She is known to walk toward State Highway 72 and may be traveling on foot.

Rea is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has a thin build, gray hair, and hazel eyes. Her current clothing is unknown; however, she normally wears sweatpants and a T-shirt. The dog pictured is at home and is not with her.

Rea has dementia and may be confused or disoriented. She may believe she is walking to a family member’s home. If you encounter her, please approach calmly, speak gently, and avoid arguing with or attempting to correct her. Call 911 immediately and, if it is safe to do so, remain nearby until first responders arrive.

Anyone with other information concerning her whereabouts should contact the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office at 573-243-3551. Please do not rely on a Facebook comment to report a sighting.

On Friday, before it got to hot, the on duty crew spent time that morning training over water supply, pump operations, reverse hydrant lays, and hose deployments in the city park!
Thanks to our Jackson Missouri Parks & Recreation for keeping our parks nice and clean and for our continued great working partnership!
