🐾 ’Twas the Night Before School at JGS 🐾

’Twas the night before school, and all through JGS,
The classrooms were ready, each one at its best!
The staff had worked with excitement and care,
Getting everything ready for Jaguars to share.

The books are all waiting, the pencils in place,
Tomorrow brings laughter back into each space!

We’ll look Beyond the Horizon, explore near and far,
Discover New Hampshire and just who we are.
Through mountains and valleys, past rivers and shores,
Our State, Our Story has so much in store!

So sleep well, Jaguars—the waiting is through…
JGS is ready and waiting for YOU!

Our 5th and 6th graders are off on an exciting Summit to Sea adventure in Acadia National Park! Over the next few days, students will explore unique coastal ecosystems, investigate tide pools, learn about habitats and the fascinating creatures that call them home, and deepen their understanding of the connections between land and sea.

This experience is about more than science. In partnership with our friends at Tin Mountain, students will build teamwork, strengthen relationships, and create lasting memories together through shared exploration and discovery.

As student leaders, they will also be preparing to share their learning with younger JGS students as we get ready for next week's Ocean Day experience. We can't wait to see how their knowledge, enthusiasm, and curiosity inspire others.

Wishing our adventurers an incredible journey from summit to sea filled with discovery, connection, and fun!

Last night’s Unified Arts Show at JGS was a beautiful reminder that even a small school can have an incredibly big heart for the arts. From the powerful sounds of our inspirational all-school chorus and impressive elementary band, to the creativity showcased through student artwork and French projects, the evening highlighted the talent, courage, and dedication of our students and staff.

The pride and passion poured into every performance and display was evident, and it speaks volumes about the commitment of our Unified Arts teachers who inspire students to create, perform, and grow every single day. At JGS, the arts are not an “extra” — they are a valued and essential part of who we are as a school community.

We are so proud of our students for sharing their talents and grateful to the families and community members who came out to celebrate them!

Yesterday at JGS, the appreciation was extra special! 🌷✨

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible JGS PTO and Chief Perley for giving our staff the gift of time together by taking over lunch and recess duties and treating us to a delicious lunch. There’s something pretty wonderful about staff getting to sit, laugh, and enjoy a meal together without racing the clock! 🍽️💛

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any sweeter… tulips arrived! 🌷 A surprise delivery from someone who was clearly raised by a teacher because they absolutely understood the assignment.

We are endlessly grateful to work in a community that wraps around our school with such kindness, generosity, and support. From helping hands to thoughtful gestures, you remind us every day that JGS is something truly special.

Our cups (and vases!) are full 💐✨ Thank you for loving our staff so well!

Yesterday we celebrated staff with snacks and seltzers! A special thank you to the Jackson Collection for dropping off a beautiful cheese and fruit tray, what a nice surprise!
