Honoring Sheriff Lee D. Vance

During National Police Week, we pay tribute to Sheriff Lee D. Vance, a dedicated leader who served Hinds County with honor and distinction. With more than three decades in law enforcement, he was a steadfast protector of justice and a pillar of the community.

Sheriff Vance’s legacy is one of commitment, integrity, and unwavering service. His leadership touched countless lives, and his devotion to public safety set an enduring example. Tragically, he passed away in the line of duty on August 3, 2021, due to complications from COVID-19. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his impact will continue to guide those who serve today.
