Beginning March 3rd, 2026 the weight on any single axle shall not exceed 5 tons on a county highway, townroad, or city street. Unless the roadway is signed otherwise in which case the sign will govern.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will end winter load increases in the SOUTH and SOUTHEAST frost zones Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 12:01 AM.

Dates for Winter Load Increases (WLI), Middle-Weight Permits and Full-Summer Permits are shown as soon as they are available.
