Madison County, Tennessee – July 25, 2026 – The Madison County Sheriff's Office continues to make significant progress in the investigation into the July 19, 2026, shooting at Savannah Williamson Park.
This week, investigators with the Madison County Sheriff's Office, assisted by the Jackson Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Jackson RA (FBI), and the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives (ATF), executed multiple search warrants at locations throughout Jackson-Madison County as part of the ongoing investigation.
As a result of the investigation, FOUR individuals have now been arrested in connection with this incident. Additional investigative efforts remain ongoing, and investigators continue to pursue all leads.
The names of those arrested, along with the charges filed, will be released following their formal arraignment in Madison County General Sessions Court.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office remains committed to conducting a thorough investigation while ensuring those responsible are held fully accountable.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available and when doing so will not compromise the integrity of the investigation.

𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗬, 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗘 - The Madison County Sheriff's Office responded to a multi-jurisdictional incident today, May 30, 2026, involving a suspect wanted in connection with multiple violent offenses occurring along Interstate 40.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office received a BOLO alert regarding a suspect and vehicle who was alleged to have been involved in a shooting incident in Fayette County. Information received indicated that the suspect subsequently traveled eastbound on Interstate 40 and, near mile marker 113, allegedly at this location, the suspect discharged a firearm at another individual. This shooting did result in a victim being struck by gunfire. It is believed that the victim in this shooting is in stable condition at the time of this press release. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating that incident.
At approximately 2 PM this date, a Madison County deputy observed the suspect vehicle in the area of Highway 70. The deputy attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, where the suspect then fled.
The pursuit continued onto Ridgecrest Road. During the pursuit, the deputy attempted to perform a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver on the suspect vehicle. The deputy and the suspect traveled multiple roads, ending up traveling west on Highway 70. During this pursuit, the suspect began to fire a weapon at the deputy’s vehicle, striking the patrol vehicle. In response to the immediate threat, the deputy discharged his weapon in an effort to stop the vehicle and protect the public and law enforcement personnel.
During the pursuit, a Jackson Police Department officer successfully deployed spike strips. However, the vehicle was able to continue onto Whitehall Street, where it later came to rest. The suspect, a 41-year-old white male reportedly from the state of Louisiana, was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.
Neither the suspect nor any law enforcement personnel were injured during this incident. Information regarding the suspect's identity and potential charges will be released as it becomes available and in accordance with applicable law and investigative procedures.

WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND! This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone because his Commander in Chief, Secretary of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and fellow War Fighters were monitoring his location 24 hours a day, and diligently planning for his rescue. At my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him. He sustained injuries, but he will be just fine. This miraculous Search and Rescue Operation comes in addition to a successful rescue of another brave Pilot, yesterday, which we did not confirm, because we did not want to jeopardize our second rescue operation. This is the first time in military memory that two U.S. Pilots have been rescued, separately, deep in Enemy Territory. WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND! The fact that we were able to pull off both of these operations, without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded, just proves once again, that we have achieved overwhelming Air Dominance and Superiority over the Iranian skies. This is a moment that ALL Americans, Republican, Democrat, and everyone else, should be proud of and united around. We truly have the best, most professional, and lethal Military in the History of the World. GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS, AND HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!

Coast Guard Petty Officer Scott Ruskan, the rescue swimmer who assisted in the evacuation of 169 people during the Central Texas floods on July 4 (including Millie Cate McClymond, from Breckenridge, Tx, who is next to him) gets recognized and awarded the Legion of Merit at the State Of The Union.

We need your help to find Alma Fowler, who is missing from Camden.
The 75-year-old is 4’11” tall and 110 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes. Alma was last seen near Herrington Road in Camden, wearing a green puffy jacket, tan jeans, white snow boots, and a white headband. She is believed to be travelling on foot.
Alma has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return safely without assistance.
