I just finished a ZOOM call with People Not Politicians organizers. The air is a lot clearer today. What I know...

Prop A is HB1. This is the POLITICIAN'S POWER GRAB! A vote for Prop A is a vote to give politicians the power to gerrymander our maps at any time for any reason. VOTE NO ON PROP A!

Amendment 6 will restrict Missouri lawmakers' ability to rewrite laws and constitutional amendments approved by voters through the initiative process. VOTE YES ON AMENDMENT 6!

Acting AG Hanaway hasn't filed an appeal with the Supreme Court Of the United States yet...that is expected very soon. People Not Politicians had an extraordinary legal staff that is ready to take this to SCOTUS if necessary. They really are batting 1.000! Fortunately, this current Court has already ruled very recently that the People of the states can vote on irregularly gerrymandered (what a concept!) maps.

There will be canvassing kick-offs in the larger metropolitan areas in Missouri on 9/26. I spoke up for the other parts of the state where we are working HARD for democracy. I have been assured that all materials and training will be available to us, and I have the contacts. Put on your walking shoes!

Phone banks will also be very important! There will be some organized in this area. Stay tuned!

This was important to me. The status of the first 100k signatures that were gathered when this campaign kicked off (mine included) are still in limbo. Denny Hoskins decided that they were collected too early, and threw them in the trash. Maybe I will sue him. Someone will.
