The April 2026 Civic Education Program, sponsored by the Gadsden County Republican Executive Committee (GCREC), will be held on Monday, April 13th at 6:00 PM EDT at the Hazel Baker Community Center, 128 7th Avenue East, Havana, FL 32333. Casual dress.
This month’s presenter will be Rhea Goff, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of The St. Joe Company. Ms. Goff brings more than two decades of experience with St. Joe, where she has overseen human resources, marketing, information technology, and corporate administration across the company’s operations. Her perspective offers a unique window into how one of Florida’s most significant landholding companies has evolved over time.
The modern St. Joe Company traces its roots to the historic St. Joe Paper Company Trust, which originated through land acquisitions associated with the Nemours Foundation and was guided by Florida’s famous Ed Ball. Today, as a publicly traded company, St. Joe (NY Stock Exchange Symbol - JOE) plays a leading role in shaping growth, development, and economic opportunity across Northwest Florida.
Ms. Goff will discuss leadership, workforce development, and the role of private enterprise in building strong communities throughout our region.
Of special local interest, Ms. Goff’s father, Mike Standley, is from Havana—providing a meaningful connection between her work across Northwest Florida and our own community.
All Civic Education Programs are open to the public on a nonpartisan basis.
Following the Civic Education Program, and in keeping with established protocol, there will be a formal “firewall” break before the GCREC business meeting is convened.
Please make every effort to attend this month’s GCREC-sponsored Civic Education Program. Participants consistently leave these programs better informed on issues affecting our community and state.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday, April 13th at 6:00 PM EDT in Havana!
