Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows. Isaiah 1:17

“Learn to do good”
God is saying that doing good is something we intentionally practice and grow in, not just something we talk about.

“Seek justice”
Stand for what is right and fair. Don’t ignore wrong or stay silent when people are treated unfairly.

“Help the oppressed”
Care for people who are hurting, mistreated, struggling, or taken advantage of.

“Defend the cause of orphans”
In biblical times, orphans were among the most vulnerable. This means protecting and caring for those who have little support or voice.

“Fight for the rights of widows”
Widows often faced hardship and injustice. God calls His people to stand up for those who may be overlooked or vulnerable.

Overall meaning:
The verse teaches that faith should be shown through compassion, justice, and helping people in need. God values hearts that not only worship Him but also care for others and stand up for what is right. 🙏🏼📖

⚠️ Strong Non Severe thunderstorm moving through parts of Southern Wise, Southeastern Jack, and Northeastern Parker Counties through 3:15 PM CDT.

As of 2:43 PM, Doppler radar indicated a strong storm located near Lake Bridgeport, about 11 miles southwest of Bridgeport, moving east at 20 mph.

🌬️ Threats include wind gusts over 40 mph and hail up to half an inch in diameter.

Strong winds may knock down tree limbs, blow around unsecured outdoor items, and cause minor damage.

Areas impacted include Bridgeport, Briar, Reno, Springtown, New Fairview, Aurora, Boyd, Poolville, Paradise, Runaway Bay, Lake Bridgeport, Sanctuary, Cottondale, Joplin, Agnes, and surrounding communities.
