In another life K9 Maverick wanted to be an astronaut. He watched as much of the Artemis II launch as he could before work!

How many of you watched America head back to the moon tonight? 🌕🇺🇸 We are wishing those astronauts safe travels from the Sheriff’s Office!

⚠️ Quick Reminder: Just because it’s getting warm out doesn’t mean the law doesn’t apply anymore ⚠️

Our Deputies work diligently to keep our community safe. This past week they have been extra busy arresting multiple drunk drivers, individuals with warrants, getting many suspended drivers off the roadways, and multiple people lodged for narcotics related charges.

It wasn’t only our two-legged Deputies getting in on the action. K9 Maverick assisted on a traffic stop resulting in a drug seizure 🐾

You’ll continue to see red and blue lights throughout the spring and summer as we continue to proactively serve our citizens 🚨

🎶 When I grow up I want to be…. A Deputy? 🎶

That may not be the original song lyrics but it was today’s theme because Sheriff Clark, K9 Maverick, and Deputies Tahvonen, Greene and Miller attended the Career Fair at Alma High School. They were able to talk to students about careers in law enforcement and corrections and give them possible options for their future! 🌟

They also got to show off some of the departments equipment! 🤩

We had a great 2 days of defensive tactics and weapons retention training last week! This training equips Deputies with skills to control confrontations, protect themselves and others, and maintain secure control of issued equipment during high-stress encounters. Through realistic, scenario-based instruction, Deputies build confidence, discipline, and decision-making abilities that support safe, lawful, and professional responses in the field.

❄️ Why do we love where the air hurts our faces? ❄️

It’s about to get really cold this weekend. Here are a couple graphics to help you prepare for it. Because we like you so much we included a graphic about some advice for winter driving!

Let’s try following the second one really well, no one likes to be stuck in a ditch or the side of the road when it’s below zero 🥶
