While this is not in our area, it is a concern. As food availability and affordability decreases, this can easily become anyone’s neighborhood. However, The Itasca food pantry is not in any immediate danger of closing and that is because of you in the community!!! And if you’re interested in donating, we are looking for canned fruits. Any kind. Thanks for all you do.

The pantry team has been working hard all month as we prepared to replace 3 sets of shelving!

On Saturday, Vincenzo, Rosario, Antonio, and Evan stayed after hours and took down the old shelving unit and put up the new shelves.

Noah, Vince and Zack. Three of our most dedicated and sometime goofiest volunteers. Without volunteers like them, we would have a difficult time serving our clients in the manner in which we’d like. Thank you guys, and every other volunteer both frequent and non frequent.

So many, many people and companies have come together to contribute their time, talent and money to the Itasca Food Pantry. One interesting example is the Itasca sprinklers who have contributed hundreds of rolls of aluminum foil, plastic wrap and food storage bags. These are things we don’t normally think of but will be a welcome help for any holiday meal. A big thank you to the Sprinklers and everyone else who has helped their neighbor in any time of need.
