IFPD will be conducting a Home Safety Visit Blitz on Walters Lane, Linden and Elm on June 13th 10:00am-12:00pm. The goal is to install smoke, carbon monoxide and natural gas detectors!

Did you know as an Itasca resident, IFPD will come to YOUR house to install battery operated smoke detectors, carbon monoxide and natural gas detectors, FREE OF CHARGE?

Schedule a Home Safety Visit by contacting Joan Koriath at [email protected] or 630-773-1223 x301.

This program is made possible by a FEMA Fire Prevention & Safety Grant.

We are sad to share the passing of FFPM David Janssen, Retired. FFPM Janssen proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in Itasca from 1977-1983. He also dedicated his time on the IFPD Board of Fire Commission from 2014-2022. FFPM valiantly served the Addison Fire Protection District for over 30 years.

We don't do it alone, thank you to Northwest Community EMS Services System for their support to help us provide best in class service!

Today, we hosted the 5th graders for their annual fire station tour. Each group spent time learning about the firefighting and fire safety. Our favorite part is demonstrating the side by side fire sprinkler simulation. This demonstration shows them in real time how fire spreads without and without sprinklers.
