Following a nationwide recruitment and competitive interview process, City of Issaquah Mayor Mark Mullet announced his selection of Stephen L. Mylett as the next Issaquah Police Department Chief, pending successful completion of background checks and City Council confirmation on June 29.

“I’m excited to bring Steve to Issaquah. With his many years of experience, I’m confident he will do an outstanding job in our community, leading our excellent police department, and working closely with our regional partners,” said Mayor Mullet.

Mylett brings more than 35 years of law enforcement experience to the role, including as Chief of Police for four different communities across the country: Akron, Ohio; Bellevue, Washington; Southlake, Texas; and Worthington, Ohio.

City of Snoqualmie Names Andrea Lehner as New City Administrator

After a national search that drew dozens of applicants and culminated in a community meet-and-greet with three finalists, the City of Snoqualmie has named Andrea Lehner its new City Administrator.

The City Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer under the general direction and authority of the mayor, responsible for the City’s day-to-day operations and the coordination of work among all departments and programs.

Lehner currently serves as Deputy City Administrator for the City of Issaquah, where she has overseen departments with 90 employees and $39 million in annual expenditures and served as Acting City Administrator. She brings twelve years of local government experience including economic development leadership for multiple King County cities. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the UW Evans School of Public Affairs.

Lehner’s expected start date is July 6.

Enjoy a ride through town on the Rainier Trial or from E Lake Sammamish Trail to Pickering Barn for the Issaquah Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am-2pm, through September. There is ample bike parking located right off the trail, or inside the market in the picnic area. Spend the day enjoying the grounds, music, lunch options, and farm fresh produce.

Since 1976, the Issaquah Singers, originally known as the Issaquah Chorale, have been delighting Issaquahns with their talented harmonies and uplifting music. This year they are celebrating 50 years, an impressive milestone worthy of celebrating!

We spoke with Dorothy Hay, Issaquah Singers’ conductor for 38 years, and she reflected on the history of Issaquah Singers, and looked forward to the future. Join Issaquah Singers on June 6, 2026 for their special anniversary concert.
