Unseasonably hot weather will continue through Monday.
- The heat wave continues, with heat index values again in the 108-112 degree range along the coastal corridor and up into Berkeley county.
- Can't rule out a final round of similar heat indices Monday along the coast, though inland far inland may not even reach 100 degree heat index values.
Showers and thunderstorms expected today with a persistent summertime pattern. Isolated strong-severe thunderstorms possible today.
- A few pulse type thunderstorms may become strong-severe this afternoon/evening, with a low chance for organized severe weather. Main threats are damaging winds and lightning.
- Locally heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out, with chances for 2" in a 6 hour period are as high as 50-60%, scattered along/east of the I-95 corridor.
